This is a post that I did for LinkedIn that I have copied here for others to view….

While in between projects I keep my CityEngine skills up with small ‘side quests’ (yes I am one of those Zelda gamers). Here I have taken another (as part of a series for a CGA/rule library) ‘American’ style home this time from a Sears catalogue. In my Sears catalogue it calls it ‘Modern Home No. 203’ but having done research, this is called in other Sears Homes catalogues the Wareham. As with all these types of homes it came with a number of design styles. It sort of lends itself to this type of procedural modelling! Yes this is work-in-progress and I always start with the massing, except I did get into some window details a little too early…. oops (other CityEngine professionals will relate here)! I hope to keep you update with progress.

Okay now the shameless plug: Did you know I am a CityEngine instructor trainer? I can do project work or knowledge transfer and I can train you or your organisation in the use of ArcGIS CityEngine, contact me for more details!
