I have been using Esri CityEngine for urban planning projects since at least 2009 and been training professionals world-wide since 2013. Garsdale Design Limited are the official Esri CityEngine trainers for EsriUK and we do training for our partners in Dubai, GISTEC.
It’s been a fun ride since those early days of trying to replace a single SketchUp workflow! From 2013 I have trained city planners, private planning and architectural consultancies, entertainment companies, as well as military organisations in the use of Esri CityEngine and ArcGISPro.
There is a steep learning curve for those not used to coding, but the rewards are great! Rule files which govern the modelling of your 2D data once created can be adapted quickly and easily for subsequent new projects. So whilst your first project using Esri CityEngine maybe slow, subsequent projects will happen very very quickly.
