Solved!"},"content":{"rendered":"<figure id=\"attachment_323\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-323\" style=\"width: 166px\" class=\"wp-caption alignleft\"><a href=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.geoplanit.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/09\/Flipvideologo.jpg\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-323\" title=\"flipvidelogo\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.geoplanit.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/09\/Flipvideologo.jpg?resize=166%2C125\" alt=\"\" width=\"166\" height=\"125\" srcset=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.geoplanit.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/09\/Flipvideologo.jpg?w=166&amp;ssl=1 166w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.geoplanit.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/09\/Flipvideologo.jpg?resize=1%2C1&amp;ssl=1 1w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 166px) 100vw, 166px\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-323\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">naughty flip software!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>So today I booted up my Windows 7 laptop only to find that instead of the two login options (My account and Guest) there is now a &#8220;other user&#8221; account. \u00a0 Now I&#8217;ve been here before with other issues and the obvious response is to think virus or malware. \u00a0 But I&#8217;m pretty careful about the stuff I put on my PC and the websites I visit, so I logged in and raced to Google for a search for people with the same issue.<\/p>\n<p>I couldn&#8217;t think of any recent software I&#8217;d installed plenty of Windows updates nothing else really&#8230;. anyway I found this very useful post<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/jonhoo.wordpress.com\/2010\/06\/24\/windows-7-login-screen-only-showing-last-logged-on-user-and-other-user\/\" target=\"_blank\">&#8220;Windows 7 login screen only showing last logged-on user and \u201cOther user\u201d&#8221;<\/a><\/p>\n<p><em>Now before you follow all the instructions here<\/em> (beware you will be using registry edit!) just to let you know I only deleted the .DEFAULT directory in \u00a0&#8220;HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\\SOFTWARE\\Microsoft\\Windows NT\\CurrentVersion\\ProfileList&#8221;. \u00a0 <strong>Before you do this I recommend that you export the directory you&#8217;re about to delete in the registry just in case you need to reinstall it.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Reading the comments below this very useful post you can see the common thread seems to be the install of FlipHD software&#8230;.ah now I understand I didn&#8217;t install any new software recently I just update flipshare&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/jonhoo.wordpress.com\/\">Well thank you to Jon\u00a0Gjengset on his Tech That! blog&#8230;.<\/a> and thank you search engine for finding the solution for me so quickly.<\/p>\n<p>Moral of this story?
